KSACC is an organisation dedicated to expanding cashew cultivation and enhancing the domestic production of indigenous Raw Cashew Nut (RCN) in Kerala. The goal is to ensure a steady supply for the cashew industry and attain self-sufficiency.
To achieve this, the Government of Kerala (GoK) constituted KSACC in 2007 via G.O (MS) 55/2007/ID. KSACC is registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of 1955 (Reg No. KLM/TC/79/2025) on 02.04.2025. The headquarters is located in Kollam.
The agency aims to boost raw nut production from 65,000 MT to 1.5 lakh MT annually by promoting High Yielding Varieties of cashew grafts. Between 2009โ2024, KSACC distributed over 10 million grafts covering 48,135 Ha. Currently, 24,067 Ha remains viable despite natural calamities and pest attacks. In 2024โ25, farmers produced 24,018 MT of cashew nuts for the production sector.
VISION
Promote area expansion of cashew with the support of farmers, public, government and private institutions to ensure the steady supply of RCN for the cashew industry in Kerala.
MISSION
To enhance the domestic RCN production from 65000 MT to 1.5 Lakh
MT in phased manner by using High Yielding Varieties (HYV) innovative
method of cultivation.
